Inspiration hasn’t come easy tonight, I wasn’t sure what to make the subject of today’s blog post and I’ve been wading through poetry and my flickr photo stream looking for something that would catch the eye and demand that I publish it here.

In the end inspiration came from listening to Nickelback’s song Someday, which is a great track and reminded me of the poem Reaching that I wrote when I uploaded the pic below of the same name. Funny really when you think about it because it seems I’m still always reaching for something – today it was inspiration, tomorrow who knows?!

Reaching - Copyright R.Weal 2008

REACHING

Because sometimes we reach for what we cannot attain.
Because sometimes even the unattainable is within our reach.
Because the will to reach is better than not reaching at all.
Because reaching out keeps me honest and true.
Because each time I reach it brings me closer to you.

If you fancy checking out Nickelback’s song Someday you can buy it from Amazon for a tiny cost, you won’t regret it! In the meantime, never stop reaching, for the moment you give up reaching, you give in!

Tread safely in the light.
