The speckled leaves look so beautiful and yet are the product of disease and decay.
Just goes to show that death does not have to be ugly. Life and death are intrinsically linked, we experience them every day. For all that it seems we might wish to put an end to death itself, without it, the winter would never end, we would never know the first bloom of spring, the warmth of summer, nor the beautiful colours of autumn.
Life is a bargain, for new life to be born, the old must make way and die. Take a moment when you are out next to thank the life making way for you and value the time that you have here on earth.
