Yesterday I had a lovely hour out taking photographs, which I haven’t done for quite some time. Just as the sun was setting I captured this picture looking out over the river in Lizzie Gardens.
As I was walking around I thought about how quickly a single moment passes and how often we miss out on some spectacular moments just by not taking the time to stop and look around you.
After I’d taken this picture it reminded me of the poem below that I wrote so many years ago.
A SINGLE MOMENT
Innocence lost, but not forgotten
Love discovered
Joy recovered
Place your hand upon my chest
Feel the love, which knows no rest
Flowers bloom, the bud has opened
Leave me here forever hoping
A single moment
The quintessential kiss
Eternity in your gaze
Forever on your lips
Life should always feel as this
